Marcos calls for unity to address climate change

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. called on Filipinos to work together to address climate change during events for Global Warming and Climate Change Consciousness Week, which took place from Nov. 19-25.

Marcos, who chairs the Climate Change Commission, emphasized unity as a key factor in ensuring a sustainable future for generations to come.

In a video message on Tuesday for the Solidarity Night event, he stressed the importance of having a collective vision for a resilient Philippines that can withstand environmental challenges.

The President urged all sectors of society, including government offices, educational institutions, civil society, businesses, and local government units, to intensify efforts toward building a more sustainable nation by localizing the National Adaptation Plan.

This year's theme, 'Aksyon at Adaptasyon ng Makabagong Henerasyon,' underscores the importance of collective effort in achieving the nation's climate goals.
