Marcos set to sign P6.352T 2025 natl budget Dec 20

President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. is tentatively scheduled to sign the proposed P6.352 trillion national budget for fiscal year 2025 on December 20, 2024 at 9 a.m., according to Presidential Communications Office Secretary Cesar Chavez.

The bicameral conference committee has already approved the final version of the 2025 General Appropriations Bill (GAB), which includes the national budget plan for fiscal year 2025.

Earlier, Senate President Pro Tempore Jinggoy Estrada noted that the budget for the Office of the Vice President remains at P733 million.

Presidential Legislative Liaison Office Secretary Mark Leandro Mendoza previously confirmed that the signing would occur before Christmas Day.

The Senate and House contingents have yet to discuss the changes they made to the budget in detail.
