Marcos preparing fourth SONA, themes undecided

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is preparing his fourth State of the Nation Address (SONA), which he will deliver at the Batasang Pambansa Complex in Quezon City on July 28.

Palace Press Officer Claire Castro stated that President Marcos is studying and deciding what to disclose during the SONA, emphasizing policy directions such as the economy, infrastructure, agriculture, digitalization, and national security.

During last year’s SONA, Marcos highlighted the Philippines' economic standing and reaffirmed his stance on protecting the West Philippine Sea and banning POGOs.

Malacañang also announced that award-winning tenor Sofronio Vasquez has been tapped to lead the singing of the Philippine national anthem at Marcos' SONA.

When asked if he would ban all online gaming sites during this year's SONA, Castro said that such decisions are being studied for their potential impact on the economy and public welfare.
