Marcos pledges to boost MSMEs through digital expansion

The Marcos administration pledged to speed up digital infrastructure expansion and improve coordination among government agencies to support micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) at a recent event.

Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin highlighted President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr.'s commitment to fostering an environment that encourages innovation and competitiveness for MSMEs through the MSME Development Plan 2023-2028.

Marcos emphasized investments in skills development, digital infrastructure, and technology to help MSMEs thrive in the global digital economy.

The President acknowledged the significant role of MSMEs, which make up over 99.6 percent of all business establishments in the country, as vital contributors to economic growth and innovation.

Marcos also recognized local partners who have supported MSMEs in overcoming challenges and transforming them into opportunities.
