Marcos pledges support for PAF's role in security and modernization

President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. pledged continued support for the Philippine Air Force (PAF) during its 78th anniversary celebration on Tuesday, emphasizing its crucial role in national security, disaster response, and law enforcement.

Marcos urged PAF to remain swift and responsive in serving the Filipino people while reaffirming his commitment to provide them with advanced equipment, training, and facilities.

The President highlighted recent improvements including six new aircraft, enhanced training programs like flight simulations, completed infrastructure projects, and heightened air and maritime monitoring amid rising tensions in the West Philippine Sea.

PAF also supported internal security efforts by tracking insurgents, neutralizing threats, and supporting law enforcement operations such as capturing criminals and stopping smuggling activities that harm the economy.

Despite operational challenges, Marcos assured troops of his commitment to their welfare and mission readiness, promising sustained modernization efforts to equip and train PAF for evolving regional threats.
