Marcos: 680K families achieve self-sufficiency through Pantawid Pamilya, DSWD launches digital donation portal

President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. announced Tuesday that nearly 680,000 families have achieved self-sufficiency through the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) during the Department of Social Welfare and Development's (DSWD) 74th anniversary celebration.

Marcos highlighted how the program has supported more than four million households last year, with over a million high school students graduating and nearly 470,000 elementary school children completing their primary education.

The DSWD also launched a new digital initiative called the 'Kaagapay Donations Portal', which aims to facilitate donations for disaster relief operations and social welfare services online.

Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao noted that this portal will enhance operational efficiency by allowing donors to choose between cash or in-kind donations through various payment methods.

Additionally, the DSWD unveiled a Harmonized Electronic License and Permit System that streamlines regulatory service applications and issuance of travel clearance for minors traveling abroad without physical submission of documents.
