Marcos Jr rejects resignation calls, asks agency heads to submit courtesy resignations

Marcos stated that recent directives for Cabinet secretaries and government heads to submit courtesy resignations do not warrant his own resignation, emphasizing a more rigorous performance review of officials beyond the Cabinet level.

Former Duterte Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea and ex-Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque have called for Marcos Jr's resignation, asserting that he himself is the root cause of administration issues.

Despite criticism, Marcos Jr. remains unfazed, vowing to look deeper into performance shortfalls and requesting all heads of agencies to submit courtesy resignations.

Malacañang assured the public that government services will continue unhampered during this transition towards a more focused and performance-driven approach.
