Marcos inspects Brigada Eskwela preparations in Bulacan

On Monday, President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. inspected preparations for the upcoming school year at Barihan Elementary School and Tibagan Elementary School in Malolos City and San Miguel, Bulacan as part of Brigada Eskwela 2025.

Accompanied by Education Secretary Sonny Angara and his son William Vincent, Marcos reviewed repairs on classrooms to ensure they are safe and ready for students and witnessed school readiness activities such as gardening, painting, and carpentry projects.

Brigada Eskwela 2025 runs from June 9 to 13 and involves teachers, parents, and volunteers preparing public schools for the start of classes on June 16.

Angara highlighted that despite the onset of the rainy season, the schools are well-prepared for the opening and emphasized the need for continued investment in disaster-resilient school infrastructure.

Over 300 bags filled with basic school supplies will be distributed at Barihan Elementary School on the first day of classes, while a new Starlink satellite internet service was also installed to provide faster and more reliable connectivity for students and teachers.
