Marcos inaugurates URC flour mill in Quezon

President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. inaugurated a new flour milling plant by Universal Robina Corporation in Sariaya, Quezon on Friday.

Marcos emphasized that the 10-hectare facility's capacity to produce 3,500 metric tons of flour per day would contribute significantly to food security and economic stability amid concerns over inflation.

The president reiterated his administration's unwavering support for local manufacturers in the food and beverage sector during the inauguration ceremony.

Marcos highlighted URC's commitment to quality and innovation over its 70-year history, praising its role in supporting local MSMEs and enhancing productivity.

He also committed to creating a supportive environment through laws and agreements that promote the interests of both manufacturers and consumers.

The new plant symbolizes the government and private sector's shared responsibility to build a stronger future by addressing flour production gaps and meeting growing market demands.
