Marcos hosts dinner for senators at Bahay ng Pangulo

President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos hosted a dinner for senators and their spouses at Bahay ng Pangulo on Monday.

The attendees included senators such as Ramon Revilla Jr., Lito Lapid, Francis Tolentino, Sherwin Gatchalian, Raffy Tulfo, Joel Villanueva, Mark Villar, Jinggoy Estrada, Francis Escudero, Cynthia Villar, Alan Peter Cayetano, Aquilino 'Koko' Pimentel, Juan Miguel Zubiri, and Loren Legarda.

Senator Grace Poe was absent from the group photo but attended the dinner.

Senators Risa Hontiveros, Bato Dela Rosa, Bong Go, and Imee Marcos did not attend the event.

The dinner took place on the same day as the Iglesia ni Cristo's National Rally for Peace at the Quirino Grandstand to support President Marcos against the impeachment of Vice President Sara Duterte.

First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos shared a photo from the dinner on Facebook the following day, captioning it 'Dinner with senators and their spouses.'

The Palace has yet to provide an explanation for the purpose or nature of the meeting.
