President Marcos honors 3 Filipina world travelers at Malacañang

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. honored three Filipina world travelers at Malacañang Palace for visiting all 193 member-states of the United Nations.

Odette Ricasa, Luisa Yu, and Kach Medina Umandap were recognized for their rare achievement, which has been accomplished by fewer than 500 people globally.

President Marcos praised the travelers' dedication and expressed pride in Filipinos' global reputation for hospitality and empathy during a Facebook post.

The travelers discussed their travel experiences with President Marcos, who shared snippets of their conversation on social media.

Donalito Bales, founder of the Filipino World Travelers community, accompanied the travelers and presented President Marcos with a book titled 'Galà: Adventures of the Most Well-Traveled Filipinos', featuring stories from Ricasa, Yu, Umandap, Bales, and other inspiring Filipino travelers.
