Marcos declines to comment on Duterte’s threats about exhuming Marcos Sr.’s remains

President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. declined to comment on Vice President Sara Duterte's threats regarding exhuming and disposing of former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr.'s remains.

During an ambush interview at the Libingan ng mga Bayani on All Saints' Day, November 1, Marcos was asked to react to Duterte's pronouncements but said he would rather discuss their relationship 'some other time'.

Duterte previously threatened to throw former President Marcos Sr.’s remains into the West Philippine Sea if attacks against her continue, a threat she conveyed during an October 18 tell-all interview.

Despite the contentious remarks and Duterte's claim of having a list of impeachable offenses that could remove Marcos Jr. from office, the President did not address her criticisms or threats regarding former President Marcos Sr.'s remains.

Marcos has consistently declined to comment on Duterte's tirades since their political rift began in 2024.
