Marcos asks LGUs to support booster campaign

President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr., who is currently in isolation after testing positive for COVID-19, called on local government units to support the booster vaccine campaign.

Marcos emphasized during a virtual address to newly elected governors and city mayors that the booster rollout is crucial for safely resuming face-to-face classes and fully reopening the economy without reimposing lockdowns.

He stressed the importance of in-person learning for students and ensuring economic stability by preventing future lockdowns due to new variants like Omicron.
