Marcos: Asia-Pacific won't embrace Cold War mindset

Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. stated during a luncheon in Davos, Switzerland that countries in the Asia-Pacific region should avoid taking sides amid increasing geopolitical tensions.

Marcos noted that ASEAN and APEC member nations are pressured to align with one side but are committed to avoiding a Cold War scenario.

He emphasized that returning to Cold War-era divisions would put the Philippines in a precarious position due to its frontline status.
