Marcos appoints Calinisan as Napolcom VCEO until 2030

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. appointed lawyer Rafael Vicente Calinisan as the vice chairperson and chief executive officer (VCEO) of the National Police Commission (Napolcom), with his term set to run until December 31, 2030.

Calinisan expressed gratitude to President Marcos for the appointment, vowing to ensure the dignity and integrity of Napolcom which oversees the Philippine National Police.

He emphasized that under his leadership, the welfare and morale of police personnel will remain a priority, while fostering professionalism and excellence within the ranks.

Calinisan's father is a retired police general and his mother was a retired colonel in the nurse corps of the Philippine Constabulary.

In November last year, Calinisan was also appointed as Napolcom commissioner, making this his third appointment in six months.
