Marcial fights on Pacquiao's undercard in Vegas

Olympic bronze medalist Eumir Marcial will make his long-held dream a reality by fighting alongside Manny Pacquiao in an undercard bout on July 19 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Inspired by Pacquiao since childhood, Marcial announced on social media that he will face American Alexis Gaytan in an eight-round middleweight non-title match.

Marcial, who won a bronze medal in Tokyo in 2021 and has a professional record of 5-0 with three knockouts, expressed his happiness at the opportunity after what he called a 'grueling journey rife with challenges.'

The 29-year-old fighter recently arrived in Los Angeles to join Pacquiao's training camp ahead of the event.

Marcial's last professional fight was on March 24, 2024, where he knocked out Thailand's Thoedsak Sinam in front of a hometown crowd at Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila.

Joining Marcial are former world champions Jerwin Ancajas, Mark Magsayo and Jonas Sultan who will also participate in the card.
