Mapua edges EAC for NCAA lead

Mapua University secured a narrow 83-77 win over Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) in the NCAA Season 99 men's basketball tournament on Wednesday, reclaiming first place with an 11-3 record.

Clint Escamis led Mapua with 17 points, eight rebounds, four assists, three steals, and a block, solidifying his MVP candidacy.

Despite trailing by 18 points late in the game, EAC mounted a strong comeback but fell short as Mapua held on to win.
