MAP urges Marcos admin to speed up NLEX-SLEX connector and Skyway Stage 3

The Management Association of the Philippines (MAP), representing top business leaders and tycoons, is urging the Marcos administration to expedite the completion of a crucial infrastructure project connecting North Luzon Expressway-South Luzon Expressway (NLEX-SLEX) Connector Road and Metro Manila Skyway Stage 3.

According to MAP, this project will improve connectivity between northern and southern Luzon, reducing travel time and enhancing access to major airports and ports.

The initiative is expected to benefit the logistics sector by providing cargo trucks with unrestricted 24/7 access to the road, thereby improving business operations and boosting tourism.

MAP President Al Panlilio and Eduardo Yap emphasized that such infrastructure projects are vital for national development and economic growth, encouraging the government to fast-track their completion.

The Skyway link project aims to alleviate traffic congestion on major thoroughfares in Metro Manila but has faced delays due to right-of-way issues.

In November 2024, the Toll Regulatory Board initiated the girder launching of this segment, marking a significant step towards its eventual completion.
