OPAV aims full Visayas vaccination by year-end

The Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas (OPAV) aims to fully vaccinate all residents in the Visayas regions against COVID-19 by year-end.

Secretary Michael Lloyd Dino pledged to secure sufficient vaccine supply and urged regional DOH offices to provide weekly vaccination needs.

Dino emphasized that local government units must ensure efficient implementation of community vaccination programs using the Visayas Vaccination Operations Center (VVOC) manual prepared by IATF-Visayas chief Melquiades Feliciano in coordination with OPAV, DOH-7, and Project Balik Buhay (PBB).

On Wednesday, a VVOC manual for community vaccination operations was distributed to Cebu mayors, written by Feliciano under national guidelines and DOH-Central Visayas regional director Jaime Bernadas’s guidance.
