Manny Villar casts vote as he runs for Sen

Manuel 'Manny' Villar Jr., one of the Philippines' most prominent tycoons and richest billionaires according to Forbes Magazine, cast his vote on Election Day alongside his wife Cynthia Villar in Las Piñas City.

Villar’s rags-to-riches narrative has been a key part of his public image; he is currently running for senator while Forbes listed him as the wealthiest individual in the Philippines with a net worth of $17.2 billion.

His real estate empire includes Vista Land & Lifescapes Inc., Brittany Corporation, and Crown Asia, focusing on luxury properties and thematic communities in Metro Manila’s south.

The Villar family has a long history of political involvement; Manny served multiple terms in the House of Representatives and Senate, while his wife Cynthia represented Las Piñas until 2010.

Their daughter Camille is also running for senator this year, facing challenges including a lack of support from President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s administration.
