Manila Water reports 14% net income growth, revenues up 8%

Manila Water Company Inc. reported a 14% increase in net income to P3.56 billion year-on-year for the first quarter of 2025.

Consolidated revenues grew by 8% to P9.54 billion, driven by tariff adjustments and higher billed volume in non-East Zone Philippines businesses.

Revenues from water and used water services alone reached P9.145 billion, up 11.7% from the previous year due to a 13% increase in average tariff starting January 2025.

Manila Water's international business equity share in net income increased to P124 million, while group-wide capital expenditures for the first quarter were P4.8 billion.

Regulators approved a 4-centavo-per-cubic-meter rate hike in March to help Manila Water recover losses due to currency fluctuations.
