Manila universities suspend classes over transport strike

Several universities in Manila have suspended face-to-face classes on Monday, March 24, due to a three-day transport strike initiated by Manibela.

The transport group is protesting alleged inaccuracies in consolidation numbers from the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) under the Public Transport Modernization Program.

Adamson University, Colegio de San Juan de Letran, De La Salle University (Manila and Laguna until March 26), Far Eastern University (Manila and Makati), Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, and University of Santo Tomas have canceled classes for all levels.

Mapúa University has suspended senior high school classes in Intramuros and Makati.
