Manila Melmac competes in FIBA 3x3 Jakarta Challenger

Manila Melmac, featuring former Philippine No. 1 3x3 player Mac Tallo and Matthew Salem, Christian Manaytay, and Beninese import Adeshokan Odou, is set to compete in the FIBA 3x3 World Tour as mandated by SBP President Al Panlilio.

Coached by Mau Belen and Chico Lanete, the team aims to boost the country's ranking with valuable tour points earned from participating in global competitions like the Jakarta Challenger.

Manila Melmac recently won at the Halfcourt Courtside Fair held at Okada Manila, defeating Baguio Highlanders, Taho Story, and Okada Manila.

In Jakarta, the team will face Spain's Mataro and Romania's Bucharest Stiinta in the qualifying round for a chance to enter the main draw of the FIBA 3x3 Jakarta Challenger on July 26-27.

SBP executive director Erika Dy emphasized the federation's support for club teams like Manila Melmac, aiming to improve their chances at the Olympics.
