Manila deploys 5 MPD patrol cars, 3 DRRMO trucks for commuters during transport strike

On Monday, March 24, the Manila local government deployed vehicles to assist commuters during a transport strike declared by MANIBELA.

At least five mobile patrol vehicles from the Manila Police District (MPD) and three trucks from the Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) were provided as 'libreng sakay' for affected passengers.

The initiative aimed to ease the burden on commuters who lacked regular public transportation due to the strike.

Manila authorities stated that, as of now, the strike has not significantly impacted the city's transportation system.

The deployment of these vehicles is intended to ensure continued mobility and support for those affected by the transport strike.
