Mandaue, Murcia, Buguias mayors test positive for COVID-19

Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes, Murcia Mayor Gerardo Victor Rojas of Negros Occidental, and Benguet's Buguias Mayor Ruben Tindaan have all tested positive for COVID-19.

Cortes announced his diagnosis on Monday after experiencing symptoms and testing positive via RT-PCR test. He is isolating at home while continuing city operations.

Rojas confirmed his positive result on Facebook, stating he is asymptomatic but will comply with government protocols.

Tindaan also tested positive for the virus and assured residents that despite being in quarantine, he will continue to perform his duties.
