Malacaōang directs gov't agencies, LGUs to support Elderly Filipino Week

Malacaōang has issued Memorandum Circular 34 directing national government agencies and encouraging local government units to support activities and programs for senior citizens during the Linggo ng Katandaang Filipino, which is celebrated annually in the first week of October.

The National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) is designated to lead these activities under its mandate as per Republic Act 11350.

All national government agencies are directed to support NCSC-led initiatives, while local government units are encouraged to do so.
