Duterte urges Filipinos to find strength in Resurrection amid pandemic

On Easter Sunday, President Rodrigo Duterte urged Filipinos to find strength and solace in the Resurrection of Christ amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Duterte emphasized that despite adversities, there is hope for better beginnings and encouraged acts of kindness and charity towards those in need.

The president spent Holy Week at Malacañang monitoring the government's response to the pandemic, with Luzon under an enhanced community quarantine until April 30.

Malacañang spokesperson Salvador Panelo echoed Duterte’s message, emphasizing that after pain and suffering comes healing and a new tomorrow.
