Makabayan solons urge safe school reopening plans

On Wednesday, November 2, 2022, public schools in the Philippines resumed full face-to-face classes after more than two years of online or hybrid learning due to the pandemic.

Makabayan bloc lawmakers called on the government and DepEd to implement programs and pass measures to ensure safe school reopening.

ACT Teachers Rep. France Castro criticized the national government for doing little to help schools prepare, while Kabataan Rep. Raoul Manuel noted that unscientific policies could jeopardize student safety.
