Makabayan bloc backs 10 more Senate hopefuls

The Makabayan bloc, a coalition of progressive party-list groups, endorsed 10 additional senatorial candidates on Tuesday to support the opposition and promote unity.

Among those endorsed are incumbent lawmakers Leila de Lima, Risa Hontiveros, and Loren Legarda for their work with human rights, women's rights, overseas Filipino workers, environmental issues, and education.

The bloc previously supported Neri Colmenares and Elmer Labog.

This endorsement brings the total number of Makabayan-endorsed senatorial candidates to 12.
