Madis and Aludo win girls' doubles title at J60 PHINMA-ITF Championships

Top seed Tennielle Madis advanced to the quarterfinals in girls' singles with a dominant win against Japanese player Reyna Geisler, 6-1 and 6-1.

Madis will face Chinese Taipei's Yen-Ni Chiang after her victory over local qualifier Mitchellen Alexa Cruspero by a score of 6-0, 6-0.

Stefi Marithe Aludo secured her place in the girls' singles final with a 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 victory over second seed Japanese player Aoi Watanabe but lost to South Korea's top junior Yesung Choo, 6-2, 6-2.

In doubles competition, Madis and Aludo won the girls' doubles title by defeating No. 2 Taiwanese pair Yuhan Chen and Yu-Ning Tsai, 6-2, 7-5, securing their fifth crown in the J60 PHINMA-ITF Championships which concluded Sunday at the Manila Polo Club shell court.

Third-seeded Filipinos Madis and Aludo defeated Japan's Aoi Watanabe and South Korea's Yesung Choo, 6-4, 6-2, before winning their fifth career title against Taiwanese pair Yuhan Chen and Yu-Ning Tsai.
