Mabalacat vaccinates 150 poor kids against COVID-19

Mabalacat City vaccinated 150 children from marginalized families against COVID-19 on February 18.

The vaccination drive, led by Mayor Crisostomo Garbo and Vice Mayor Gerald Aquino, took place at SM City Clark’s IMAX Cinema.

Children chosen for the program were from Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program beneficiaries and ECCD daycare students.

Mayor Garbo emphasized prioritizing poor families due to their difficulties accessing vaccination sites and vaccine hesitancy.

The city plans to roll out its pediatric vaccination program using reformulated Pfizer BioNTech doses, starting with indigent children aged 5-11 years old.
