LTO suspends Angkas CEO's license 90 days

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) suspended for 90 days the driver's license of Angkas CEO George Royeca after a convoy of its motorcycle riders obstructed traffic in Cainta, Rizal on February 2.

Royeca issued a public apology acknowledging the lack of discipline and non-compliance with traffic rules by his riders, stating that he takes full responsibility for their actions.

Cainta Mayor Elenita Nieto ordered Angkas to perform community service as part of the penalty.

LTO chief Vigor Mendoza II emphasized that identifying riders who deliberately blocked roads is necessary to ensure adherence to traffic rules and regulations.

Royeca assured stakeholders that Angkas will work to regain trust within the riding community.

Angkas has promised to conduct community service for their traffic violations, as ordered by Cainta Mayor Elen Nieto.
