LRT-2 resumes full operations after catenary cable repair

The Light Rail Transit-2 (LRT-2) resumed full line operations on Tuesday following repairs of a damaged catenary cable between Katipunan and Santolan stations.

Limited service was in effect from Monday evening to early Tuesday morning, restricting train travel only between Recto and Cubao stations.

By 7 a.m. Tuesday, LRT-2 management announced that trains were operating fully from Antipolo station up to Recto station.

Commuters along Marcos Highway in parts of Antipolo City faced delays and were stranded due to the repairs on Monday evening.

The Antipolo, Marikina, and Santolan stations remained closed on Tuesday morning as a result of ongoing maintenance work.
