Lidasan unable to vote, name missing from list

Makabayan senatorial candidate Amirah Lidasan was unable to vote at her designated precinct in Matanog, Maguindanao on Monday because her name was missing from the voters' list.

Lidasan spent the morning trying to vote but eventually cast her ballot in Cotabato City after 5 p.m., where she found her name listed at Krislam Elementary School.

She and the Makabayan coalition are investigating why her name was absent from the voter's list in Matanog, noting that other voters also encountered similar issues.

Lidasan emphasized the importance of protecting every vote and urged COMELEC to provide an explanation for these incidents.

Fellow senatorial candidate Alyn Andamo reported a voting machine error which left her party-list vote unaccounted for, highlighting potential problems with automated counting machines.
