Sakers beat Skygunners, move to second in KBL

The Changwon LG Sakers defeated the Goyang Sono Skygunners, 91-79, in a Korean Basketball League (KBL) game on Sunday, March 9.

Despite trailing by as many as 16 points in the first half, Goyang failed to mount a comeback and lost their fourth consecutive game, dropping them to ninth place with a record of 14-29.

Carl Tamayo led Changwon with 12 points, four rebounds, and four assists while Assem Marei dominated with a double-double of 29 points and 23 rebounds along with six assists and four steals.

The Sakers' win improved their record to 27-16, moving them into solo second place in the KBL standings.

In another game on Sunday, the league-leading Seoul SK Knights defeated Daegu KOGAS Pegasus, 89-69, with Juan Gomez de Liano contributing three points and one rebound for the winning team.
