Letran wins first V-League match over Perpetual Help

Colegio de San Juan de Letran secured their first victory in the 2025 V-League Collegiate Challenge by defeating Perpetual Help in a five-set match on Saturday.

The Lady Knights won with scores of 25-16, 25-15, 20-25, 21-25, and 15-17 at the Paco Arena Sports and Events Center in Manila.

Vanessa Sarie's performance off the bench in the decisive set was crucial for Letran, while Judiel Nitura scored a team-high 24 points to seal the victory.

New head coach Aleksi Lahteenmaki expressed satisfaction with the win despite acknowledging lapses in their game during the later sets.

Letran will look to build on this momentum when they face Mapua on Sunday at 10 a.m., while Perpetual Help aims for redemption against Far Eastern University on August 26.
