Letran wins FilOil Preseason Cup game, 80-71

Colegio de San Juan de Letran secured its first win in the 17th FilOil EcoOil Preseason Cup by defeating De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, 80-71, on Saturday.

Incoming rookie Jimboy Estrada led the charge with 19 points, six rebounds, and three steals as Letran bounced back from two consecutive losses in the preseason tournament.

Kobe Monje contributed a double-double performance with 12 points and 14 rebounds, while Pao Javillonar added 12 points to support Estrada's efforts.

Lyceum of the Philippines University narrowly beat San Sebastian College-Recoletos, 94-89, with Mac Guadaña leading LPU with 29 points and eight assists.

In a separate NCAA match, Far Eastern University edged out the University of the East, 80-76, extending their winning streak to two games.
