Cassy Legaspi, Darren Espanto: Just best friends

Kapuso actress Cassy Legaspi has reiterated her relationship status with Darren Espanto in a recent 'Unang Balita' report.

Cassy emphasized during the interview that she and Darren are simply best friends, stressing, 'It's so hard to explain what we have pero best friends talaga kami (but we're best friends).'

She clarified that her Instagram posts were merely sharing favorite songs and not intended to insinuate anything romantic.

Her mother, Carmina Villaroel, also tends to share quotes and Bible verses on social media without any underlying message.

Despite long-standing dating rumors, Cassy and Darren have been seen together at events like the GMA Gala and ABS-CBN Ball, as well as traveling to Batangas, Japan, and California.

In an earlier interview with TV Patrol, Espanto also described their relationship as 'hard to explain' to outsiders who 'won't understand.'

On the April 10 episode of 'It's Showtime,' Espanto was teased alongside Kyline Alcantara, who has been romantically linked with Cassy's twin sister Mavy.
