DOTr suspends land, sea trips to Visayas, Mindanao due to Bising

The Department of Transportation has suspended all land and sea trips to Visayas and Mindanao starting Friday noon due to Typhoon Bising.

The suspension applies to Matnog Port and other ports in Region V, affecting trucking/logistics companies and buses.

The DOTr advises postponing planned trips to avoid long queues at affected areas.

The travel ban was requested by the Office of Civil Defense in Region V and approved by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council-Emergency Operations Center.

Attached agencies such as the Philippine Coast Guard, Land Transportation Office, and Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board are enforcing the suspension.
