Lakas-CMD fully supports admin’s 11 Senate candidates

Speaker Martin Romualdez of Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD) has called on party members to fully support the administration's 11 Senate bets in the upcoming midterm elections.

Campaign manager Toby Tiangco thanked Romualdez and Lakas-CMD for their full backing, emphasizing that it strengthens the coalition’s campaign and allows them to reach more voters nationwide.

Lakas-CMD has been declared as the dominant majority political party by the Commission on Elections based on its capacity to field candidates across all government levels and the number of incumbent officials.

The party is fielding over 6,000 candidates for this year's elections, with provincial governors linked to Lakas-CMD pledging to secure millions of votes for the senatorial candidates backed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

A coalition of more than 50 party-list groups at the House also supported the administration’s Senate bets, emphasizing shared legislative priorities and aspirations for a progressive Philippines.
