Lakas-CMD candidates lead in Albay races

Candidates from the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD) are maintaining their lead in key electoral races across Albay, according to a Pulse Asia survey conducted from April 1 to 10.

Joey Salceda, the incumbent second district representative and former governor of Albay, is at the top of the gubernatorial race with 47 percent voter preference, followed by Noel Rosal from PDP-Laban with 30 percent.

In the vice-gubernatorial race, Diday Co from Lakas-CMD leads with 36 percent support, while Jun Alegre from PDP-Laban is second with 20 percent.

Lakas candidates also hold strong leads in all three congressional districts of Albay, including Kito Co in the second district with a 46 percent preference and Adrian Salceda in the third district with 55 percent support.

In Legazpi City's mayoral race, Lakas candidate Kap Hisham Ismail is ahead with 45 percent voter preference, followed by Carmen Rosal from PDP-Laban with 33 percent.
