Kuzma stresses hard work for Filipino NBA dreams

NBA forward Kyle Kuzma emphasized during his 'Kuzmanila II' tour in Manila the importance of hard work, discipline, and perseverance for Filipino players to make it to the NBA.

During a press conference on Wednesday at Okada Manila, Kuzma noted that while basketball traditionally favors taller players, height is still a significant factor but reaching the league requires substantial effort and luck.

He stressed that achieving such success means being among the top 1% of global players, highlighting the difficulty involved and noting that heart alone may not be enough to overcome these challenges.

Kuzma encouraged aspiring Filipino players to focus on hard work, ignore distractions, and believe in themselves, reiterating that any player can make it with enough effort but luck plays a crucial role as well.

During his visit, Kuzma also unveiled a mural at Tenement in Punta, Sta. Ana, Manila, and exchanged jerseys with Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.
