KTO hosts seminar on Korea transit tourism for Filipinos
The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) Manila Office hosted the Korea Transit Tour Seminar 2025 at Lanson Place Mall of Asia on March 14 to promote South Korea's transit passenger tour program for Filipino travelers.
Over 150 key partners from travel agencies, airlines, and media attended the seminar, which aimed to showcase Korea’s transit tourism offerings and foster collaboration.
KTO Assistant Manager Jen Uy highlighted that Incheon International Airport welcomed about 620,000 Filipino transit passengers in 2024, making the Philippines second in terms of passenger numbers for transit tourism products with a share of 12.4%.
Two types of visa-free entry are available for Filipino transit passengers: a 30-day option and a 3-day option for those participating in recognized transit tour programs.
KTO introduced its Free Transit Tour and K-Stopover Program, offering flexible tour durations and affordable packages with accommodation, transportation, airport lounges, and shopping vouchers.
The seminar also covered the new E-Arrival Card program for online entry declarations and discussed the 2025 APEC Summit in Gyeongju, expected to promote Korea's traditions and culture globally.
