KMS secures quarters, extends win streak after beating DLSZ

King's Montessori School secured a quarterfinals seat after defeating De La Salle-Zobel A, 25-16 and 29-27, on Saturday to extend their winning streak to three straight matches in the Shakey's Girls Volleyball Invitational League Rising Stars Cup Division 1.

Paula Palma led KMS with a game-high 18 points, including 11 crucial kills in the second set, while Venice Escote and Sharina Lleses contributed eight and seven points respectively.

With this victory, King's Montessori School finished the preliminary round at the top of Pool C and awaits their final pool ranking and quarterfinals opponent.

Meanwhile, Arellano University upset California Academy with a comeback win, 20-25, 27-25, 25-11, to maintain its unbeaten record in Pool C, while Mhonnieck Soliven scored 15 points for California Academy's lone victory against Corpus Christi School.
