Ravena leads Gilas Pilipinas past Indonesia

Thirdy Ravena led Gilas Pilipinas with 23 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 blocks as they defeated Indonesia 100-70 in their FIBA Asia Cup 2021 Qualifiers opener on February 23.

Ravena's performance was not surprising to coach Mark Dickel who trains him regularly at Ateneo.

Gilas Pilipinas struggled initially but turned the game around with strong defense and contributions from younger players like CJ Perez and Juan Gomez de Liano.

Indonesia, led by Andakara Dhyaksa with 28 points, tried to mount a comeback in the third quarter but could not sustain it.
