PLDT beats Cignal; Dy returns emotionally

PLDT secured a comeback victory over Cignal in the PVL All-Filipino Conference on Tuesday at PhilSports Arena with a score of 25-20, 25-21, 20-25, 25-22.

Kim Kianna Dy made her emotional return to the court after more than two years due to a knee injury and entered the game in Set 4 during PLDT's strong lead over Cignal.

Coach Rald Ricafort mentioned that while Dy wasn't originally scheduled to play, they decided to gradually incorporate her into the team's system as PLDT sought a secondary offensive option for star spiker Savi Davison.

PLDT overcame a tight fourth-set challenge from Cignal, leading by as much as 10 points before securing the match with key plays from Majoy Baron and Savi Davison.

Dy's return was emotional as she thanked her teammates for their support during her recovery process.

Despite not producing points in her limited playing time, Dy’s comeback provided a morale boost to PLDT and added depth to the team's offensive lineup.
