Kevin Quiambao returns to South Korea after FIBA Asia Cup

Kevin Quiambao, a 6-foot-5 forward from Muntinlupa City, has returned to South Korea after his stint with Gilas Pilipinas in the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup.

Quiambao averaged 12.0 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.6 assists during the tournament, showcasing improved shooting from beyond the arc at a 44.4% clip.

Philippines head coach Tim Cone praised Quiambao's performance, noting his potential as a key player alongside Justin Brownlee and Dwight Ramos.

Quiambao will continue to train with the Goyang Sono Skygunners in preparation for their upcoming season in the KBL starting later this year.

The forward aims to build on his recent success and is expected to represent Gilas Pilipinas again when they compete in the 2027 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers scheduled to begin in November.
