Kalinga's COVID-19 positivity rate surges to 57.9%

The seven-day COVID-19 positivity rate in Kalinga increased to 57.9% on December 10, surpassing its previous high of 20.8% on December 3.

Kalinga now has the highest positivity rate among provinces in Luzon and the National Capital Region (NCR), according to OCTA Research.

OCTA fellow Guido David noted that a positivity rate below 5% indicates controlled virus spread, while Kalinga's current rate is significantly higher.

The NCR’s positivity rate also increased from 12.4% on December 3 to 14.4% on December 10.
