Jomari Yllana shares arrest story at Motorsport Carnivale presser

Actor-politician Jomari Yllana shared a humorous anecdote about his arrest for illegal drag racing during the press conference of his upcoming Motorsport Carnivale event on April 29.

Jomari was recognized by Sen. Jinggoy Estrada, who confiscated his license plate but returned his driver's license under the condition that he wouldn't tell others about it.

The incident taught Jomari to follow rules and led him to pursue professional racing after this experience.

Yllana Racing is partnering with Okada Manila to bring back the Motorsport Carnivale 2025, scheduled to open on May 4 in Parañaque City, promising a celebration of speed, style, and Filipino pride.

The event features various activities including a Super Sprint, Grand Car Meet: Legends of the '90s, and Jom's Cup drag racing challenge on May 31, along with an EV car showcase during intermissions.

Jomari aims to rekindle the spirit of Philippine motorsports from its glory days in the 1970s and inspire younger audiences and new fans.
