Jo Koy praises PAL crew after Tokyo emergency landing

Filipino-American comedian Jo Koy was among the 355 passengers on a Philippine Airlines flight that made an emergency landing at Haneda Airport in Tokyo on Thursday.

In an Instagram story, Jo Koy praised the cabin crew for their excellent service during the incident and commended them for staying calm and going 'above and beyond' while handling a tense situation.

The comedian thanked the flight attendants for remaining calm and ensuring passenger safety as he was having a meal with his family while awaiting their next flight back to the United States.

According to PAL, smoke was reported inside the aircraft's cabin leading to the diversion of the Boeing 777 from Manila to Los Angeles earlier that night.

Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon confirmed that all passengers and crew were safe following the emergency landing and stated that an investigation is underway regarding the incident.
